Skin Prep Season Is Here

Skin Prep Season: Why Fall and Winter Are the Best Time for Corrective Facials

Getting facials every 4 to 6 weeks year-round is a great way to combat dryness, congestion, and other common skin concerns. No matter the season facials keep your skin balanced, healthy, and glowing while working on your specific skin concerns.

During fall and winter especially are great for taking it up a notch. With less sun exposure, your skin can handle stronger corrective treatments like peels, Circadia SWiCH treatment, or procell microchanneling.

These treatments target fine lines, uneven texture, hyperpigmentation, and acne scars. Starting now sets your skin up to be smoother, clearer, and healthier by the time summer rolls around.

This season is all about getting ahead. A few thoughtful treatments now can make a big difference later. We can help you create a plan that’s right for your skin so you get the best results possible.

The SWiCH™ Dermal Rejuvenation System is a unique alternative to chemical peels that redefines how we treat age-damaged skin. SWiCH™ takes advantage of the skin’s natural repair mechanism to help restore the skin’s optimum appearance without injury to the skin. Reverse the signs of aging today and SWiCH™ on your skins ability to repair itself from the inside out. This treatment is recommended for a minimum of 6 treatments and is perfect for more mature skin (40 and up) who wants little downtime.

Procell Microchanneling is a precision skin treatment that uses ultra fine microchannels, which are tiny controlled punctures, to stimulate the skin’s natural healing response and boost collagen and elastin production. Immediately after the microchannels are created, a clinical grade serum rich in growth factors, cytokines, and peptides suspended in a hyaluronic acid base is applied to enhance repair, reduce inflammation, and support smoother texture and tone. The treatment is safe year round, but fall and winter are especially ideal because reduced sun exposure helps protect healing skin and lowers the risk of pigmentation issues, allowing you to recover and build new collagen before spring and summer.

Chemical peels are one of the best ways to refresh and reset your skin, and the cooler months are the perfect time to do them. With less sun exposure, your skin can heal and renew more effectively, lowering the risk of irritation or pigmentation issues. By starting in fall or winter, you’re giving your skin a chance to recover and rebuild collagen.

We offer two different forms of peels: Gel and Ethanol.

Gel peels are typically formulated with alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) like lactic acid and beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) such as salicylic acid. They work by gently exfoliating the skin’s surface, breaking down dead skin cells, and promoting cell turnover. These peels mainly target the epidermis, the top layer of skin, making them ideal for addressing surface-level concerns and for those with sensitive skin. Downtime is minimal, with only slight redness or mild flaking possible.

Ethanol peels combine acids like salicylic, lactic, mandelic, or resorcinol with ethanol as a carrier, which allows the active ingredients to penetrate deeper into the skin. This makes them more effective for targeting issues such as pigmentation, acne scars, or sun damage. Ethanol peels usually involve 5–7 days of peeling, with up to 2 weeks of healing and increased skin sensitivity, so they are best suited for clients who can accommodate a longer recovery period.
